Influenster Love

I have been blessed to have the opportunity to receive a few of Influenster's VoxBox's full of goodies.  I have gotten everything from skin care to hair care to makeup to food.  Some of my favorite items I use are things I have received in VoxBoxes.  Check out some of my previous posts that show off the boxes and all the contents.  I haven't received one in a while, but hopefully I get picked for one soon and can share the review with you all.

Spring Fling Vox Box

It always a good day when a Vox Box from Influenster comes in the mail!  They send out free samples of items to try out.  I was lucky enough to score one of the "Spring Fling" Vox Boxes.  Here's what I got:

JAdore Vox Box from Influenster

The friendly folks over at Influenster have showered me again with a lovely box of goodies!  Influenster is a company that sends out boxes of items for free to be reviewed.  It has been a little treat to get one of these every few months.  Here's what I got in my J'Adore Vox Box:

This is probably what I am MOST excited for.  This is John Frieda's Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray.  It is supposed to help keep your hair straight for THREE whole days after straightening it.  That would be amazing!  My hair is naturally wavy and after a night's sleep it's like I never straightened it the day before.

This is Boot's Botanics Ionic Clay Mask.  I've never tried anything from Boots, but I've heard awesome things about it!  Anything to keep me shine-free is good!  Excited to try this one too.

Some teachers and I have 'fake lash fridays' every once in a while and these will be perfect!  These are Kiss's Looks So Natural Lashes.  They are supposed to feel more natural than other fake lashes.  They look nice.

This year I've taken a step away from my teas and have been drinking more coffee.  I'll have to try these out though.  Creme Caramel tea!?!  Interesting.  These are teas from Red Rose.  The Lemon Chiffon one is decaffeinated.

Last, but not least.  This big bad boy is a HUGE family bag of Hershey's kisses.  I'm going to share this at work because Lord knows I would probably eat them all myself... haha.

Violet Vox Box

Well, it's been a little while since I've posted anything.  I've been busy doing other things this year, but this is a well worth reason to post again.  I received the Violet Vox Box courtesy of Influenster.  It looks like this box is geared more towards an active/healthy lifestyle, and I like that.  Here's all of what Influenster was so kind to send me for sampling:

 

 

 First is the Goody Athletique Headbands.  This is a cute little headband to keep your flyaways out of your face when working out and keep a little control on keeping less sweat from dripping down your face.

Next, is this fun sparkly Sally Hansen Triple Shine nail polish.  It is in the color Fanta-sea.  It is supposed to remain super shiny, even after activities like working out.

Next, is a Soyjoy bar in the flavor dark chocolate cherry.  I've tried a few of these and really liked them and I love the combination of cherry and chocolate, so I'm sure I'll love this.  It is made with soy, fruit, and other natural ingredients and is gluten and GMO free.

A few lucky influensters recieved some bonus items, and I got two!  Here is one of them.  It is is fabric clay mask from Montagne Jeunessse Clay Spas.  This is the Glacial Clay Spa mask.  I've never used one of these, so I'm interested to try it out!

Last. but not least, this is the Not Your Mother's Clean Freak dry shampoo.  I'm picky about dry shampoos, so we shall see if this one does the job well.  This is great for when you don't have time to wash your hair and just need a quick pick up.

Review of Tastykakes Reese's Kandy Bar Kake

I received this little snack from Influenster in my Spring Fever Vox Box.  This is the Reese's Tastykake Kandy Bar Kake.  It wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be but it was pretty tasty.  The only reason I wouldn't buy these is that there is a lot of calories for one of these and I'd rather eat something else with less sugar, etc. in it.  It has a peanut butter filling.  I wouldn't say it tasted like a Reese's cup, more like just peanut butter and chocolate.

Unboxing my Spring Fever VoxBox from Influenster

I was lucky enough to recieve the Spring Fever VoxBox from Influenster this month.  Influenster is a website that you can sign up for where you review products and you can qualify to be sent samples to review in VoxBoxes. 

Here's a closer look into what I recieved in my box:

 First up is the Secret Outlast Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deoderant.  I'm not a huge fan of gel deoderants, but I'm willing to give this a try.  It claims to not leave residue on clothing with 48 hour protection.  Does this mean I only need to apply it once every other day?  Weird.

Next is the NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm.  This is a wonderful little gem!  It smells like candy apple and has a great tint to it.  I have worn it already and I really liked it.  It has Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, and Avocado Oil, so it naturally moisturizes your lips.  Plus, it is too cute with the little apple design in it.

Then, I received Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure in Space Cadet.  Being a nail polish junkie, I was excited for these.  I used press on nails a few times in high school, but I haven't used them in quite a while.  When I recieve nail products like this, they are usually colors/patterns I don't really like, but these are so adorable!  They are a sparkly giraffe print.  I'm excited to try these out.

The last beauty product I received was Schwarzkopf Professional's OSiS Dust It.  Out of all the three products they were sending out.  I'm SOOO happy I got this one.  I wouldn't use the other two.  This product mattifies and adds texture to your hair.  I'm excited to try it out.  It is a VERY fine powder with no scent whatsoever.  I like my hair products to have a nice scent, but oh well.

Last but definitely not least is Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes in Reese's.  This is a snack cake available in Peppermint, Peanut Butter, and S'mores.  I love me some chocolate, so this will be eaten soon.

Review: Goody Simple Syles Spin Pin

I received these Goody spin pins free in my Beauty Blogger Vox Box from Influenster a couple weeks ago.  These pins are incredible!  Not only do they LOOK fun, they ARE fun.  They are super easy to use and they made a messy bun less then a minute to put together.  I love these and I will be using them a lot.

Review: Not Your Mother's "Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream"

I had received this product for free in my Beauty Blogger Influenster Vox Box a couple weeks ago.  I tried Not Your Mother's "Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream" and I am ready to share my review with you all.  First off, I really don't like the name.  I think it is rather inappropriate.  Secondly, it smells VERY strongly of grape candy.  I am assuming that is what "grapeseed" smells like.  If you don't like strong smells or the smell of grape candy, this won't be a good product for you.  After I put it on, I could still smell it even AFTER I washed my hair.  Aside from those two things, this is an excellent product!  It really did 'define' my natural waves and left them looking nice.  I hate when curl defining products leave my hair sticky or crunchy and this did neither.  It left my hair very manageable which I appreciated.

This is a product that I might pick up again in the future, but I really don't know if I could handle the scent on a regular basis.

Influenster Beauty Blogger Vox Box

The kind folks over at Influenster chose me to receive another Vox Box!!!!  The last one I had was so fun and this one is no different!  I love the variety, the amount, and the size of the products!  I will hopefully get full individual reviews on most of these products in the up coming weeks.

Here's a closer look at what I was sent in this box:

Sorry for the glare in the picture!  This is NYC's IndividualEyes Custom Compact.  I'm not a huge fan of using black or grey for a dramatic eye, but I'll try these out for sure.  It comes with a primer, highlighter, all over lid color, two crease colors, an illuminator, and a dual ended sponge eyeshadow applicator.  This is full size.

False lashes!!!  These are so much fun.  I rarely use them because I'm not the best at applying them, but they are great for special occasions.  I love the look of these ones!  The best part is that it comes with the glue and a little applicator tweezer.

Before I even opened up the box, there was a strong smell coming from it.  That smell was from this little gem.  I was super impressed to see this in my box.  I already own this particular scent in the 3-wick candle, so now I have a little baby one to burn too!  Mahogany Teakwood is a scented candle by The White Barn sold at Bath and Body Works.  These candles along with the Slatkin and Co. candles that are sold there are my all time favorite candles.  The scent fills up an entire house and the scents are indescribably amazing!  I love this one because it smells just like Fierce which is the cologne that Abercrombie & Fitch sprays their stores with.  It is one of my favorite smells.  Included was a coupon to get a 3-wick candle for $10.  Soooo worth it.

EBoost health booster drink!  I hope this tastes good.  I'm always up for getting a little extra vitamin dosage in my daily life.

These look so fun!  They are like bobby pins, but twisted and they will hold much more hair than a bobby pin ever would.  Influenster sent ones that perfectly match my hair color too!  Awesome job!

This is Not Your Mother's "Kinky Moves".  I am almost out of my Paul Mitchell "Round Trip", so this might be a great alternative.  It smells yummy.

I was lucky enough to receive one of the bonus items!  I got this "Green Apple & White Lily" body spray from Vitabath.  This body spray actually has vitamins in it to help nourish your skin.  This smells like fresh laundry.  I like it and happy I was chosen to receive this.  I know some other people got a cake scented one.
