Disney Inspired Nails

My school recently took some of our students to Disneyland.  I LOVE Disneyland and haven't been in a long time since I don't have an annual pass anymore.  I had a little time on my hands the day before we left, and decided to try some nail art.  I am usually terrible at nail art, and so I don't do it often.  I liked how this turned out (even though it took way too long to do).

OPI - The Living Daylights over Nails Inc. - Black Taxi

It's been a while since I've been able to post!  Today, I share with you "The Living Daylights" from OPI's Skyfall James Bond 007 collection.  This polish always intrigued me and I decided to try it out for myself.  It is chunky glitter in a clear polish.  The glitter is gold, silver, teal, and this peachy orange/red color.  Perfect color combo for fall!  I chose to put it over a black base, so I used Nails Inc.'s "Black Taxi".  I'm still getting used to this combo, but I think I'll really grow to like it.

Black Taxi was very easy to apply.  It has a slight 'jelly' quality when applying. It needed two coats to be fully opaque.  I love this polish and I'd definitely wear it by itself in the future.

 

The Living Daylights was very goopy and clumpy, but that worked as a benefit because it made the glitter stick together.  I hate when glitter polishes do not get on the brush.  I used two coats of this so make the glitter more apparent and full on my nails. 

What do you all think of this manicure?  Do you suggest any other colors from the 007 collection?

Update on Nails Inc. Baker Street.

I cannot rave about this polish enough!!!  My last post was on Nails Inc. Baker Street.  I had been wearing it for a full week before I took it off today, and it looks like I had just painted my nails yesterday!  The wear time of this polish is unlike any other I've seen before.  It is definitely worth the price!  Here's what my nails looked like after a full week:

There is a little bit of wear at the tips and it isn't as shiny as when I first painted them, but a WHOLE week and they look like this!  I'm impressed.

The only reason I didn't repaint with this color is because I had to try out Essie's Mojito Madness which I'll do a post on next. 

What color(s) from Nails Inc. should I try next?

Nails Inc - Baker Street

Ooooooh my GORGEOUS!  I cannot rave about this polish enough.  This is by far the most stunning polish I have ever seen.  I was at Sephora the other day and this little guy caught my eye.  Baker Street by Nails Inc. is $9.50 and well worth every cent.  Another incentive to the polish besides the amazing color is the name.  For those who know me personally, you know why....  ;)

These pictures don't pick up the stunning color very well, but this is a true royal blue.  It's almost blinding it's so bright, though I would not categorize it as a neon.  The bottle even mentions that this is a "trend shade" and it really is.  I've been using Ulta's Blue Streak up until now when I've wanted a bright blue, but I'll be using this one from now on.  Additionally the application was great; this is two coats.

If you are looking for a fun bright color to wear on your nails this summer, I cannot suggest this one enough.  I've found my new staple summer color, that's for sure.
