OPI - Oz collection - What Wizardry is This? (Liquid Sand)

I was really excited for OPI's Oz (the Great and Powerful) by Disney collection, but after seeing other people swatch them, there wasn't any one color I was gunning for.  None of the 'Liquid Sand' polishes have really caught my eye, but I saw Scrangie swatch "What Wizardry is This" and it was stunning.  Like I said, I don't really like the textured look, but with a top coat, this becomes a whole different polish that is beautiful.  It feels like sand paper, but really smooth sand paper (if that makes sense).  It isn't rough by any means, but it is bumpy.  It is sort of a thick goopy polish, but I used two coats anyways.  This is a dark golden brown shimmery spectacle.

I like is so much better with a topcoat.  Where my topcoat got a little thin, you can still see some of the texture coming through.  Next time, I'll use two layers of top coat.  Also, the texture is hanging off the tips, I'd file those off too.  I was a newbie with this liquid sand stuff, so I've learned my lessons.

What do you think about this textured polish trend?  Yay or Nay?

Teal Mix n' Match Manicure

I decided to try something a little more adventurous lately.  Being on Spring Break, I have some extra time on my hands, so I get to try things I normally wouldn't.  I used China Glaze's "Luxe & Lush" and "Re-Fresh Mint", Essie's "Penny Talk", and Julep's "Lena" for this look.  I used two coats for each color except "Lena" where I only needed one.  Julep polishes have amazing opacity!  Enjoy!

Let me know of any fun manicure's you've tried lately.  Leave me a link to your blog post if you did one on it.  :)

China Glaze Hunger Games - Agro

I have waited until this time of year to wear this color and I am SOOOO excited to share it with you.  I got this last year from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection, but it just didn't fit the time of year to wear.  It finally feels right and I love this color!  This is Agro and it is the polish for District 11 (Agriculture).  It is stunning.  It is a shimmery bronzy forest green.  It applied great and I am wearing two coats (per usual).  Glad I waited to open this one, because I think I love it even more than I would have.

Butter London - Shag

This is Butter London's Shag.  It is a stunning bronze-y copper-y reddish brown.  Crazy discription right!?  That's exactly what it is though!  The only other thing I can think of that is close is the Crayola 'burt sienna' crayon.  It is the perfect color for fall; not quite red, but not quite brown either and a little bit of metallic quality.  I was afraid it wouldn't go with a lot of outfits I own, but quite the contrary!  I think I will be wearing this often for the next few months.  I put on two coats (per usual).

butter LONDON - West End Wonderland

West End Wonderland by butter LONDON is a sparkly delight of gold, silver, and bronze.  I got this one at Ulta's BOGO a few weeks back.  This glitter actually is pretty opaque after two coats.  I only used two coats here, though I probably should have used three.  I've never seen any polish like this one.  The glitter is VERY fine and it leaves a gritty feeling on your nails.  It is kinda weird, but I LOVE the look.  It's fun and different.  This would be a fun pedicure color too!

What are your favorite butter LONDON polishes?
