Orly - Rage

A couple years ago, this polish was all the RAGE.  *pun intended*  This is Orly's polish in Rage.  It is a metallic rose gold with shimmer.  It is a polish that I've always wanted, but never picked up.  Ulta had a sale recently to buy 2 get 1 free, and I caved.  It is simply stunning and believe it or not, these pictures were taken THREE days after I painted them.  Great wear time!!!  I used two coats and you can see that it isn't streaky like a lot of metallic polishes are.

 

I love this color and I think it is one that can be worn year-round.  What colors do you like that are good all year?

Ruby Wing's 'Peony' Color Changing Polish

I received Peony by Ruby Wing in a Birchbox last month.  I had never heard of this brand.  Aside from it being a great summer neon color, the thing that excited me the most is that it changes color in the sun!!!  Fun right!?  It goes from a neon coral color to a neon darker coral color.

It is really sheer.  I used three coats and it probably could have used four.  Next time, I'll use this over a white polish to help.  For an accent nail, I used China Glaze's 'Refresh Mint' which is one of my favorite mint colored polishes. 

Are there any other color changing polishes you have used?  I'd be interested to hear what other brands make them.

May 2013 Birchbox

 This is Amika's Obliphica Nourishing Mask.  I actually just bought this full size before I got this month's box and realized it was one of my items!  I love Amika's hair oil and I was looking for a new mask and thought I'd try this one out.  Since I already have a full size tube, maybe I'll share this one with a friend...  :)

 This is COOLA's Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face.  I've heard great things about COOLA sunscreen products.  I wonder if this smells like Cucumber.  I could either really like that or hate it.  Anyways, I'm excited to have another moisturizer with SPF for the summer.

This is Marvis's Classic Mint Toothpaste.  This has been given out in Birchboxes since I first became a member years ago.  I am surprised it took this long for me to get one.  I am quite picky on toothpaste, so I doubt I will like this, but I'm willing to give it a try.  It's a perfect travel size. 

This is Sumita's Color Contrast Eyeliner in black.  This stuff supposidly lasts for hours, and I'll say that's true.  I took these pictures hours ago, and this black mark is still on my hand just like it was the moment I first swatched it (no smudges).  I love me a good black eye liner!

As a tea lover, I am excited to try out this sampler of Guayusa Tea from Runa.  These are some interesting flavors.  This was my Lifestyle Extra this month.

butter LONDON - Lady Muck

Here is Lady Muck.  About a month after I first got this color a year ago, I regretted it.  I just didn't like the color as much as I thought I would.  I haven't worn this since the first time I tried it, and I thought I'd give it another chance.  I am happy to report that I have a new found love for Lady Muck.  It is a dusty light blue with silver/grey shimmer.  I am wearing two coats here.

I really like this color for spring.  It has a little pop of color without being too overwhelming.

One of my favorite thing about butter LONDON polishes is that they have incredible wear time.  Lady Muck is no exception to that.
